Michael Beddo, Ph.D., joined the CreditRiskMonitor team in February 2021. Specializing in Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models, Dr. Beddo focuses on refining and enriching financial data to facilitate better decision-making for clients.

Before joining CreditRiskMonitor, Dr. Beddo held positions in data science at Beyond Finance, Inc. and DataVentures LLC. At Beyond Finance, his work involved optimizing the debt settlement process to benefit the company and its clients. During his tenure at DataVentures, he devised multiple algorithms for solving diverse business issues, from fraud detection for NYMEX to consumer analytics. This work led to a patent application for an innovative sales forecasting system.

In the earlier stages of his career, Dr. Beddo was involved in groundbreaking physics research at Argonne National Laboratory. While there, he contributed to studies to better understand the spin-nature of the forces that hold particles together in the atomic nucleus, a foundational aspect of matter itself.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Beddo spent a decade as an adjunct faculty member at Northern New Mexico College, earning "Teacher of the Year" honors in the 2011-2012 academic year. He also leads a 4-H Astronomy Club, fostering a love for science in the younger generation.

Dr. Beddo earned his Ph.D. in 1990 from New Mexico State University.
